AUSTIN, Aug. 21, 2018 – Validis, a pioneer of data sharing and standardization technology, has named Joel Curry its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. With offices in the U.K. and North America, Validis’ technology is currently used by three of the big four accounting firms and 80 percent of the Tier 1 banks in the U.K.

Before being appointed as the company’s CEO, Curry served as the general manager of operations in North America. With more than 15 years of experience, he spent most of his career at Experian, holding various senior leadership positions and driving high growth businesses. His primary focus has been software sales and business operations, both in the U.S. and U.K. markets, which will be invaluable in positioning Validis as a driving force in the U.S. lending market.

“My goal is to establish Validis as the market leader in standardizing small and medium sized businesses’ accounting data by making our platform pervasive across the lending and accounting markets in both the U.S. and U.K.,” said Curry. “I am confident our team of financial and technology experts will continue to fill the industry’s need for a fast and secure alternative to the traditional methods of financial data collection and standardization. I look forward to continuing to empower and deliver value to our clients and the industry by providing advanced technology, allowing them to quickly and easily automate the collection and consumption of their client’s accounting data.”

Don Robert, non-executive chairman of Validis and chairman of Experian, said, “With more than a decade of experience in growing businesses within the financial industry, Joel will be an excellent leader for Validis. He has a dynamic understanding of the industry, and I believe his experience and leadership skills will be essential in driving future growth.”
